When you are ready to visit, it's

- tolerance to noise and polution
- the traffic areas for the work

- You know your needs in terms of:
- public transit
- public sercices or
- commercial services
- Give the importance to be near:
- close to work
- schools
- hospital
- police or fire
- You must verify:
- Indoor aspect
- your needs in terms of space
- number of bedrooms and bathrooms
- the heating and conditioning
- the storage room
- your needs for a laundry room and a workshop
- Outdoor aspect
- Your needs in terms of parking
- Your taste for gardening
- the exposure of the house
- your preferences for a terrace, a patio, a
balcony, a pool...
- Needs for renovations
- Are you looking for a house that needs no
improvements?
- If you are thinking of doing the work yourself, do
you have the necessary skills?
- If not,have you evaluated the cost of repairs?
You pick up 5 properties maximum and you visit
them the same day; the best is 3 properties. If you select more then that, you might not
remember the first one and you sill be mixt up. Vou might have big arguments with your
spouse, don't forget that it's a big adventure and it must be a "Marvelous
Adventure", not a nightmare...
Take an appointment at least 48 hours before the
visit to be sure to reach every landlord and give an interval of one hour between each
appointments.
Your first visit must be short, about 30 minutes,
to gives you a global idea of the place.
Confirm your appointment with the landlord the
night before the visit to be sure that the people will be there for the visit. Don't
forget if you visit a revenue property, the tenants must be advised of the visit 24 hours
before, if not they have the rights to refuse to let you visit. So prevent that kind of
situation and ask the landlord when you make your confirmation if he has advise the
tenants and confirm the visit of the concern appartments.
